biography
Meryem Akdenizli was
born in 1980 in Stuttgart. From 1987 until 2001 she was in the piano
class of the concert pianist Romuald Noll at the music school of
Stuttgart. In 1990 and 1992 she received first prizes at the music
youth competition Jugend musiziert, 1994 the First Prize at the Federal
state competition Jugend musiziert. The German music committee
nominated her for the participation at the international piano
competition of the european broadcast institutions concertino praga, in
which she also was a prize winner. 1997 she again won the First Prize
at Jugend musiziert in the category chamber music. As a soloist, as
well as fro her „kammermusikalische“ achievement
she received a scholarship of the foundation Kunststiftung Baden
Württemberg.
In 2000 she received a
prize at Jugend musiziert in the category Duo. Her interpretations of
various works of Debussy, Ravel, Beethoven, Scönberg, Bach,
Chopin und Janacek were broadcastet by different broadcast- and TV-
stations like SDR, SWR, MDR in Germany as well as in Turkey. In the age
of 16 her first piano recital took place in the Liederhalle Stuttgart.
In addition she was given piano recitals and chamber music concerts
throughout Germany, in Austria, Italy, the United States and Turkey.
The Young chamber orchestra of Stuttgart obliged her to play piano
concerts of Mozart and Beethoven under the conductor Prof. Christoph
Adt. As a solist she was also playing the Totentanz of Franz Liszt with
the young symphony orchestra Stuttgart. In 2000 she made her German
school leaving examination.
From the year 2001 till
2003 she was a student in the piano masterclass of Prof. Gabriel Amiras
at Musikhochschule Trossingen. After only 6 semesters she was finishing
her degree with the grade „very good“ in the
master-class of Prof. G. Amiras at the Musikhochschule Trossingen. She
was participating in master-couses from Prof. Andrzey Jasinski, Alfredo
Perl, Prof. Pavel Gililov, Prof. Anatol Ugorski and Prof. Boris Lvov.
In June 2004 she received the 1. Prize at the international
„Young Talents Competition Val Tidone“ in Italy.
At this time she is
improving her skills with Professor Matti Raekallio at the Hochschule
für Musik und Theater Hannover and Livia Rev in Paris. There
she is also working intensively with New Music, for which she was also
studying with the composer Janez Maticic several of his pieces.
